How to become an Au-Pair?

A successful candidate for an Au-Pair must meet the following requirements:

girl
aged between 17 and 25 (Program Germany)
aged between 17 and 27 (Program Austria)
knowledge of German at least at intermediate level
responsibility and honesty
ability to work under stress and homesick
must be interested in improving language skills and interested in a culture of a destination country.

The process of organization of a trip takes from one to two months. During that time a candidate receives an official Au-Pair Agreement and an invitation to Guest Family. The final step is informing Guest Family by Au-Pair Prokop Bureau about an expected date of arrival. Au-Pair Prokop Bureau is willing to help with fulfilling all the requirements connected to the trip.

People that are the first to find Guest Family:

have a proved experience in looking after children (referrals)
are non smoking
are willing to look after children below 5 years old
know the language of the country of their destination and also English (they will be simultaneously teaching older children)
are interested in the chosen country, its culture and language
a great advantage would be driving license

Candidates that meet those requirements will find Guest Families in 1 month��s time, depending on a season. All the others qualified have a possibility to go in 2 month��s time.
Persons that are willing to go abroad as an Au-Pair can apply to our Au-Pair Bureau or our Advisor even 6 months before planned trip.
